I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Christine Handlin and the entire team at Village Animal Hospital. From the moment we walked in, we were met with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care for our pet. The clinic is clean, well-organized, and clearly run by people who love animals. Dr. Handlin, took the time to explain everything clearly and answered all our questions with patience and compassion. They made sure our Darlie felt safe and comfortable during the visit, which really put us at ease. The follow-up care was just as thorough, and we always felt like our pet was in the best hands possible. It’s rare to find a place where both the medical expertise and customer service are top-notch, but Village Animal Hospital delivers on both fronts. We’re so grateful to have found this clinic and wouldn’t trust our pet’s health to anyone else. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a skilled, compassionate, and trustworthy veterinary team!

I’ve been going to Village Animal Hospital since 1997 Dr Denise always took care of my dogs and was the most compassionate smart Vet. A month ago, doctor Balsamo discovered a tumor on my dogs spleen during a scan, and thankfully he was able to remove his spleen. It was benign and he’s healthy now. Balsamo also is very compassionate and explains everything when I speak with him. His assistant Ashley is amazing. She always explains everything keeps me updated sends me pictures and is very smart. Knows her shit. I also use the groomer there. Who’s the best has found health issues with my dogs and was able to bring it to the vets attention. This is the only place that I would ever board my dogs And I can’t thank them enough for taking such good care of my two bearded collies.

Everyone at village animal hospital is wonderful and caring. Dr Balsamo is the best vet I’ve ever been to. He operated on my elderly dog twice and saved her life both times. He gave us an extra two years we wouldn’t have had with our precious dog. He called me at home and spoke to me at length and really cares. I wouldn’t go to any other vet so I come all the way from Queens to Jericho to see him. I’m very thankful to Dr Balsamo and village animal hospital for everything.

I’ve seen some negative reviews about this place and from what I know they all seem to come from bitter people. The staff here is great, saved both of my dogs lives in the span of a few months happening. The main doctors there (balsamo and handlin) along with all of the tech staff are wonderful people who truly care for the health of your pets and their well being. From working there I can say that behind the scenes they do their very best to make every pet who enters the building as comfortable as they can, from the veterinary side, to the grooming, and including the boarding. Would not give this place one bad review!! Any negatives that are said about this place has already been ridden from the hospital, or so I believe
